There is convincing scientific evidence that replacing saturated fat with polyunsaturated fat decreases your risk of developing coronary heart disease (Mozaffarian et al 2010; PLoS Med).

With that in mind, our message, as healthcare professionals, should be to replace foods high in saturated fat with foods that are high in polyunsaturated fats.
